“I wanted to be more than just a college graduate; I aimed to become a global professional.”
After high school, JC attended Kyunggi University, but his time in the military led him to seriously consider his future. Realizing he lacked skills like English proficiency and a global perspective, he felt limited by the education at the university in Korea, prompting him to seek growth elsewhere.
JC decided to study abroad, facing the challenges for a better long-term future. He discovered the UBCE program through a military friend, attracted by its accelerated pace and credit transfer options, which offered both time and cost efficiency.
During his time in the UBCE program, JC focused intensely on English and business studies, leveraging the academic and professional opportunities in Boston. The vibrant city also offered valuable internship and career options. His hard work paid off as he successfully transferred to Penn State University, noted for its esteemed business and economics programs and ranked 54th by US News.
